Police are searching for a man who walked in to the La Calenita Bakery in Olney and robbed it at gunpoint on April 4.

Police are searching for a man who walked in to the La Calenita Bakery in Olney and robbed it at gunpoint on April 4.

The robbery unfolded around 12:55 p.m., and police said the man was recorded on a surveillance camera at the bakery on 5th Street near Ashdale pointing a gun at an employee and demanding money.

The employee gave the man $200 in cash and he fled the scene police said. He was last seen running south on 5th Street toward Rockland.

The suspect is described as a bearded black man who is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and is in his mid 20s to early 30s, police said.

He was wearing a green jacket with a light collar, blue jeans, black sneakers and a dark blue baseball cap.
