No love for top cop in Windy City
Jody Weis, a former Philadelphia FBI honcho, is being urged by cops to resign as the police chief in Chicago.
Mel Brooks once opined that it's good to be the king.
And as far as philosophies go, that's all well and true, except when everyone wants the king's head on a platter. Take, for example, Jody Weis, the former Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's Philadelphia division.
In 2008, Weis jumped from Philadelphia to Chicago, where he was sworn in as the chief of police -- right around the same time a former Chicago cop named Charles Ramsey became the commissioner in Philadelphia. (Funny how life works, no?)
Ramsey's tenure has been included a fair share of successes and controversies. By comparison, Weis's tenure in the Windy City has reportedly resembled a train wreck. The Chicago Tribune reported that hundreds of cops held an anti-Weis rally today that included numerous calls for the former G-Man to resign. Click here to read more.
