Murder in West Philly

Not a whole lot on this one yet.

Police said a 21-year-old man was fatally shot at 42nd and Parrish streets earlier tonight. The victim, whose name was not released, was wounded several times at 8:21 p.m. and died a short while later at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Homicide Lt. Phil Riehl said Narcotics cops who happened to be in the area spotted two men near the crime scene. The men were brought in for questioning, but as of this writing, no charges were filed. Check back for more tomorrow.
