Police are searching for four men in connection with a series of at least three armed robberies and a sexual assault in the Elmwood section of Southwest Philadelphia between Aug. 3 and Aug. 4.

The first incident was reported on 70th Street near Grovers Avenue on Aug. 3, at 1:45 a.m. A man told police he was approached by three men who demanded money. One of the men was carrying a black revolver and hit the victim in his head with it, police said.

The men stole the victim’s keys, cell phone and other personal belongings and fled on foot.

Fifteen minutes later, another robbery was reported on Buist Avenue near 69th Street, police said.

A man told police he was approached by four men who demanded money - one of whom was armed with a handgun.

When the victim said he didn’t have any money and ran, the suspects chased him down and hit him in his face with the gun. The robbers fled in a black Chevrolet Impala with dark tinted windows.

On Aug. 4 around 3:35 a.m., a man and woman were walking home from a 7-Eleven on 70th Street near Grovers Avenue when they were approached by a masked, gun-toting man near the Finnegan Playground on Grovers Avenue.

Cops believe the incidents are related, and posted surveillance footage of the suspects online Wednesday.

The suspects are described as four black men in their 20s. One is between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, thin, light-skinned, was wearing a baseball cap and was armed with a black revolver, police said.
