A 21-year-old man was shot dead in Oxford Circle tonight.

A 21-year-old man was shot dead in an Oxford Circle rowhouse earlier tonight. Homicide Lt. Mel Williams said the victim, whose name was not released, was shot in the back of the head inside the property, on Van Kirk Street near Castor Avenue, about 9 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
Williams said the property was an apparent drug house. A number of people were inside when the murder unfolded and were being questioned by homicide detectives. There was no description of the shooter.

Something has been going on for quite some time. - Yes I am disgusted with all the crime and thugs in oxford circle, They have taken over. This house has been a known drug house for 10 years, they have robbed & threatened anyone who attempts to complain. Neighbors have complained numerous times as these brazen thugs hang out front selling their drugs, Cars have been broken into so many times from these lowlifes, it was just a matter of time before someone Got killed..and supposedly the killed is friends with the young man killed.Sad as it is , it is not surpising.. NOW TO GET THE HOUSE SHUT DOWN.We want our Block back, although that won't make it any safer in the neighborhood, More neighbors are now carrying their own weapons{ legal} to protect themselves and their families! what kills us they move here from their old crime ridden neighborhoods and bring their trash and criminal thugs with them..Why Move then!— DisgustedInPhilly

I used to live in this neighborhood until I moved out about 8 years ago. I probably stayed three years too long as it was. It was still a safe, peaceful, and clean neighborhood a mere 15 years ago.- I am gonna miss you little brother!!!
