Man wounded by stray bullet in S. Philly

A 20-year-old man from Lansdowne was visiting friends in South Philadelphia when a stray bullet flew through a window and wounded him in the right side of his torso, police said.

Around 9:15 p.m., the man was standing in the kitchen of his friend's house on Wolf Street near 13th when the bullet zoomed through the kitchen window, police said.

The man was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and was listed in stable condition as of 10 p.m.

Two of the victim's friends were inside the house when the shot was fired, police said. However, none of them saw the shooter and there were no witnesses outside the house.

No arrests were made.
