Man stabbed to death in West Philadelphia

POSTED: Friday, July 1, 2011, 10:54 PM

A man was stabbed to death on 50th Street near Market about 6:25 p.m.

The victim, whose name was not released, appeared to be in his 40s, said Lt. John Walker of Southwest Detectives.  The man had been arguing inside an apartment on the block with his female landlord and her boyfriend. At some point, the argument turned violent, and the woman’s boyfriend stabbed the victim six times in the chest, Walker said.

He stumbled into the street and collapsed, and was pronounced dead a short while later at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The landlord and her boyfriend fled in the victim’s silver Nissan Murano, Walker said.

Nothing like stigmatized properties to bring up the home values. How dare the tenant be late with his rent! We'll just kill him.

This is why I own, Would rather deal with a bank than some landlord, did that for 14 years and I took better care of the place than the owners ever did. It has been somewhat costly(ARM)but worth the expense as the payment has been affordable as of late. ..
