Man slain, another wounded in Logan shooting

A shooting in Logan left an 18-year-old man dead and a 21-year-old man hospitalized in stable condition Wednesday morning, police said.

Shots rang out on 10th Street near Tabor Road just before midnight, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. The younger victim was wounded in his torso and face and the older victim was wounded in one of his shoulders, police said.

The teenage victim was pronounced dead at 12:07 a.m. at the nearby Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Police said the shooting likely stemmed from an argument the two victims had with another group of people during a gathering at a house near the scene of the shooting.

The 21-year-old victim returned to the house after he was shot, and police escorted five adults who were inside the house to the Homicide Unit for interviews early Wednesday morning.

Cops were unsure of what the young men were arguing over, and a detailed description of the suspect was not immediately available.

No ballistic evidence was found on the scene and no weapons were recovered. Police were searching the neighborhood early Wednesday morning to determine whether any private surveillance cameras recorded the incident.
