A man was killed in the Castor section of Northeast Philadelphia this afternoon, according to police.

A man was killed in the Castor section of Northeast Philadelphia this afternoon, according to police.

The 29-year-old victim, who has not yet been identified, was found with a single gunshot wound to his chest on Wells Street near Frontenac around 4:19 p.m., police said.

He was pronounced dead on scene by medics at 4:35 p.m.

Police have not released a motive or a suspect in the shooting.
