Man shot three times, walks to hospital

POSTED: Tuesday, June 12, 2012, 7:01 PM

A man is in stable condition after being shot three times in Kensington and walking to Episcopal Hospital afterward Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The shooting was reported around 5:10 p.m. on Front Street near Lehigh Avenue. Police said the 32-year-old victim was wounded once in his buttocks, and once in each of his thighs.

He was transferred from Episcopal to Temple University Hospital Tuesday evening.

Police were working to review surveillance footage from a nearby business that may have recorded the incident. The shooter’s motive was unclear and there were no witnesses, police said.

A detailed description of the suspect was not immediately available.
