Man shot on Kingsessing basketball court

A man was shot four times on a basketball court in Southwest Philadelphia and was hospitalized Tuesday night.

Police said the 20-year-old man was shot twice in the back and twice in the buttocks by an unidentified man at the Kingsessing Recreation Center on 49th Street near Kingsessing Avenue at about 9:40 pm.

The victim was taken by a private vehicle to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and was listed in stable condition, police said.

Information about the motive and a description of the suspect was not available Tuesday night.  No arrests were made.
