Man shot in West Oak Lane on Friday dies

A man who was shot several times in West Oak Lane Friday afternoon died over the weekend, police said Monday.

Kyle Nickens, 29, was shot several times at the intersection of 74th Avenue and 20th Street around 3 p.m. Wounded at least three times in the head and back, Nickens was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center in critical condition immediately after the shooting, according to investigators.

He was pronounced dead there at 9:14 a.m. Saturday, police said.

No arrests have been made in the homicide.
