Man shot in Point Breeze, hospitalized

Police are investigating a shooting in Point Breeze that left a 21-year old man wounded in his chest, left leg and left foot Thursday night.

The man was on 22nd Street near Sigel around 8:50 p.m. when he was shot, Officer Tanya Little, a police spokeswoman said.

Police took the man to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was listed in stable condition as of 9:45 p.m.

Police found nine shell casings on the scene and recovered a handgun.  

A description of the suspect was not immediately available. 

No arrests were made, Little said.
