Man shot in N. Philadelphia, hospitalized

A 19-year-old man was hospitalized after begin shot on 7th Street near Wallace in North Philadelphia Wednesday night, police said.

Around 6:40 p.m., the man was shot in his upper right arm and was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital.

The man was uncooperative with police who were called to the scene and was not forthcoming with information on the circumstances around the shooting, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.

Medics found shell casings in the man's clothes, and Small said there were no witnesses.

The man was listed in stable condition as of 8 p.m.
