Cops said the victim told them he was at Kensington Avenue and Madison Street around 5:30 p.m. when two or three other men approached him and tried to rob him, and then shot him once in the upper left arm. The victim fell and was knocked unconscious for a short time, cops said, and his assailants fled with nothing.

According to police, the victim walked home after he regained consciousness and was driven to Temple University Hospital by his mother. He remained hospitalized in stable condition later Monday night, cops said.
