A man was shot to death in the Northeast's Oxford Circle section shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday, police said.

A man was shot to death in the Northeast's Oxford Circle section shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Police were called to Greeby Street near Frontenac at 8:10 p.m. and found the victim lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head. The man, estimated to be in his early to mid-20s, was pronounced dead there at 8:17 p.m., police said.

The homicide remained under investigation late Thursday, and police did not have a motive or suspect.
