Man shot Sunday in Holmesburg dies of injuries

Police on Monday said a man shot at a home in Holmesburg Sunday afternoon succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The 25-year-old man, whom police had not yet identified on Monday, was shot in the face at 1:40 p.m. Sunday on Vista Street near Edmund, according to investigators. He was taken to Aria Health's Torresdale hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4 p.m. Monday.

Police have not announced any arrests or anything regarding a motive or suspect in the man's shooting.
