Man shot in Overbrook is second killed tonight in West Phila.

A 36-year-old man was pronounced dead Sunday night after being shot in the chest in Overbrook, police said.

Homicide detectives were investigating a fatal shooting in West Philadelphia's Overbrook section Sunday night.

Police said a 36-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest on North Lindenwood Street near Monticello around 8 p.m. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead at 8:11 p.m.

He was one of two men fatally wounded in separate shootings in West Philadelphia within several minutes. A 27-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the neck at 52nd and Master streets around 8 p.m. and also pronounced dead a short time later, according to police.

Police did not have additional information on a motive or suspects in either shooting last night. The 36-year-old was one of five men shot to death in separate incidents in Philadelphia Sunday.
