Man critically wounded in Kensington shooting

Shots rang out on Front Street near Berks Street around 7 p.m. and a man, who police said may be in his 30s, was shot in the chest.

Police are investigating a shooting in Kensington that left a man critically wounded Wednesday evening.

Shots rang out on Front Street near Berks Street around 7 p.m. and a man, who police said may be in his 30s, was shot in the chest.

The man was taken to Temple University Hospital, where police said he was listed in critical condition as of 8:30 p.m.

Officers from the East Detective Division were still on the scene just before 9 p.m. and a description of a possible suspect was not immediately available.
