A man was critically wounded in a shooting on a Southwest Philadelphia basketball court Thursday afternoon.

A man was critically wounded in a shooting on a Southwest Philadelphia basketball court Thursday afternoon.

Shots rang out on the basketball court near 68th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard in Elmwood shortly before 5 p.m. The 25-year-old man was hit once in the buttocks, and the bullet traveled into his stomach, police said.

He was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in critical condition. There was no word on what led to the shooting.
