Man beaten, robbed at Popeye's

Police are searching for four men who assaulted and robbed a man inside of a Popeye's restaurant.

Police are looking for four suspects who assaulted and robbed a 22-year-old man inside a Popeye's restaurant on Cheltenham Avenue near Easton Road in Cedarbrook on April 3.

Officials said the man had a brief argument with an unknown woman, then sat down at a table when he was approached by four men who began beating him.

It is not clear whether the woman knew the suspects.

During the fight, the victim was knocked to the ground and robbed of his wallet, which contained $160 cash.

The men also stole the man's iPod and the victim suffered minor injuries, police said.

The restaurant's network of surveillance cameras caught footage of the fight and the suspects fleeing the scene in a silver, four-door Audi with a sunroof. Police posted the footage online in hopes of getting information on the suspects involved.

Police said one of the four suspects, who are black, was wearing a black coat with yellow sleeves and the letter P on the right chest.

The second suspect was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with white sleeves, and "Nike" printed across the chest. Police said that suspect weighs about 250 pounds.

The third suspect is a bearded man, who was wearing a blue hat and a blue jacket with white stripes and a white shirt underneath.

The fourth suspect was wearing a blue jacket with a red collar and a white shirt at the time of the incident.

Police encourage anyone with information on the suspects to call the Philadelphia Police Northwest Detectives at 215-686-3353.
