Man beaten to death in West Philadelphia

A 26-year-old man was beaten to death in West Philadelphia Saturday night, police said.

The incident happened at 10 p.m. on North 55th Street just north of Westminster Avenue. Police said the victim was beaten to death by a group of males.

He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead at 10:26 p.m.

Police did not release the victim's name. No arrests have been made.
