One man was hospitalized in critical condition and another was under arrest early Tuesday morning after police say an argument led to a stabbing in North Philadelphia.

Chief Inspector Scott Small said the 46-year-old victim was fighting with another man inside an apartment on Rising Sun Avenue near Germantown just before 11:30 p.m. Monday when the other man stabbed him in the face and the head.

The victim stumbled outside and was taken by medics to nearby Temple University Hospital. Cops said he was listed in critical condition because of the volume of blood he lost, but expected to survive.

Small said not long after the stabbing, cops apprehended the suspect. He was taken to the hospital and positively identified by the victim and remained in custody awaiting charges early Tuesday morning.
