Man arrested for threatening Obama, Jewish people

A 46-year-old man making threats to President Obama and Jewish people over a loudspeaker was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct tonight, police said.

A 46-year-old man making threats to President Obama and Jewish people over a loudspeaker was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct tonight, police said.

At about 6:10 p.m., police responded to a second-floor apartment on 5th Street near Tabor Road in Olney and found the man who was making the threats.

Inside the apartment, officials found several suitcases they considered suspicious and containers filled with a clear liquid, police spokeswoman Tanya Little said.

The suitcases contained clothing, and the clear liquid was confirmed to be water.

Police cleared the scene just before 8 p.m.

The Department of Homeland Security and the Secret Service also investigated the incident.

Little said the Secret Service will not file charges against the man for making threats to Obama.
