Man, 45, critically wounded in shooting outside South Philadelphia Walgreens

A 45-year-old man was in critical condition Sunday night after police say he was shot several times in the parking lot of a Walgreens drugstore in South Philadelphia.

Police said the man was outside the store at 23rd Street and Oregon Avenue at 8:18 p.m. when someone shot him once in the head and three times in the left arm. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in critical condition.

Cops are unsure what led to the shooting, and no arrests were reported as of 9 p.m. Sunday.
