Man, 28, critical after shooting in West Philadelphia

A 28-year-old man was in critical condition after he was shot several times in West Philadelphia Tuesday night, cops said.

A 28-year-old man was in critical condition after he was shot several times in West Philadelphia Tuesday night, cops said.

The victim was on Walton Avenue near 62nd Street when he was shot in the right leg, right side and the right side of his buttocks just after 7 p.m., according to police. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and listed in critical condition.

Police were unsure what motivated the shooting, and it remained under investigation late Tuesday night. No arrests were made.
