A 24-year-old man was fatally shot on Yewdall Street near Woodland Avneue in Kingsessing Friday afternoon, police said.

About 4:45 p.m. the man was shot three times in his right leg, once in his right arm, once in his lower abdomen and once in his left side, police said.

He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and was pronounced dead at 5:24 p.m.

No shell casings or other forms of ballistic evidence were left behind on the scene.

Police said there were no witnesses, but a private surveillance camera approximately 200 feet from the crime scene may have recorded the incident.

Information on the circumstances surrounding the shooting and a detailed description of the suspect were not immediately available.

The incident occured about a block away from the scene of a shooting in which a 22-year-old man was wounded Thursday night.

This was likely the result of a disagreement over a high-brow game of chess, or a heated argument concerning the civil war in Syria.

Maybe they were disenfranchised since they have to have an ID to vote.
