Man, 21, shot in Hunting Park, hospitalized

A 21-year-old man is recovering from wounds to his stomach, groin and buttocks after being shot on Luzerne Street near 7th in Hunting Park Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The man was shot around 3:25 p.m. and was taken by a private vehicle to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, said Officer Tanya Little, a police department spokeswoman.

Police said the man was listed in stable condition and would likely be transferred to Temple University Hospital Wednesday afternoon.

A description of the suspect and information on the shooter's motive was not immediately available.

No arrests were made.
