Man critically wounded in Southwest Philadelphia shooting

A 19-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot in his chest in Southwest Philadelphia Wednesday night, police said.

Shots were fired on 53rd Street near Paschall Avenue around 11:10 p.m. The victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The victim was listed in critical condition, police said.

Cops recovered three shell casings on the scene and there were no witnesses.

Information on the shooter’s motive and a detailed description of the suspect was not immediately available.

    Wow. That is a callous remark. But if we are not outraged enough to stop shooting each other then how else are paople supposed to feel?

    Ok three stories that involve shootings with no description. I will bet the shooters all have one thing in common. Want to guess what that is?

    I remember when the last thing we ever thought about was crime in that neighborhood. It used to be so nice there. Now it's filthy and uncivilized.

    DiscoDave, how far back you going? Murder rates in philly have been over 300 per year since RR was president.
