A 19-year-old man was shot to death in West Philadelphia's Carroll Park section Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Update, 3:32 p.m.: Police said the suspected shooter has been caught and is in custody. The suspect has not been identified.

A 19-year-old man was shot to death in West Philadelphia's Carroll Park section Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The man, who remains unidentified, was shot several times on Redfield Street just north of Girard Avenue at 1:52 p.m., according to police. He was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania by officers who responded to the scene, and was pronounced dead there at 2:08 p.m.

Police said a fight may have sparked the shooting.
