Police are investigating a deadly shooting Wednesday night on Pratt Street.

A teenager was shot and killed Wednesday night in Frankford, police said.

The shooting happened just before 9:30 p.m. on Pratt Street near Valley. Officers responded for a reported shooting and found Michael Campbell, 17, of Norwood Street near Jackson, lying in the front driveway of a home with at least one gunshot wound to the chest. He was declared dead at the scene at 9:41 p.m.

Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said crime scene investigators found eight shell casings at the corner of Pratt and Valley, but he had no information on a motive or shooter. Police also recovered a gun.

Several witnesses were taken to the Homicide Unit for interviews.
