Logan shooting victim identified
A man shot dead Tuesday afternoon near 15th and Duncannon has been identified as Stacey Berry of Logan.
Police have identified the victim of Tuesday's fatal shooting in Logan as Stacey Berry, 31, of the 15th Street near Lindley Avenue. Berry was shot in the left side of the chest shortly after 1 p.m. near 15th Street and Duncannon Avenue. He was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center and pronounced dead at 1:56 p.m.
Berry was the city's third fatal shooting victim in roughly 24 hours. Officials have not yet identified a suspect or motive.
Court records show that Berry had been arrested numerous times on drug charges over roughly the last decade. In January 2012, according to court documents, he pleaded guilty to manufacture or possession of drugs with intent to deliver and was sentenced to a year of probation.
