Kensington deli burglar sought by police

Police are searching for a man who broke into a deli in Kensington and stole $3,300 worth of cash and merchandise on Aug. 4.

Around 10:19 p.m., the suspect ripped an air conditioning unit from a window and climbed into Levris Deli on Lee Street near Cambria, police said.

A surveillance camera inside the deli recorded the man rummaging through the cash register and snatching items off the shelves.

The burglar is described as a Hispanic or white man who is in his mid-20s to early 30s. He has a tattoo on his left forearm and a light beard, police said. The man was wearing a baseball cap a T-shirt and dark shorts.
