A suburban high school wrestling coach has been arrested after authorities traced child pornography to his computer.

Thomas Scott Porter, 50, of Hatboro, was arraigned Thursday and held at the Montgomery County Prison on $50,000 bail. He faces a preliminary hearing Aug. 16. Porter is an assistant wrestling coach at Neshaminy High School and a youth wrestling coach for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Wrestling Team (SEPA), which has practice facilities in Montgomery, Bucks and Chester counties.

After getting a tip in October that five images of child pornography were uploaded from the email address freestyler149@aim.com, Homeland Security investigators alerted the Montgomery County Detective Bureau in early June that they'd traced child pornography to a computer in Hatboro, according to Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman. Detectives determined that Porter owned the email address, which was accessed multiple times from his Hatboro home, Ferman said.

When confronted by investigators, Porter admitted he owned the email address and had viewed the illegal images, Ferman said. Authorities found more than 50 illegal images on Porter's desktop and laptop computers, she said.
