Ghoulish grifters steal from cemetery mourners

Alleged cemetery robbers

Do you know these ghoulish grifters?

Cheltenham Township Police say these two women stole a wallet from a car parked at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery last weekend, while the car owner visited a loved one's gravesite. Investigators suspect the pair similarly preyed on multiple mourners at the same cemetery last summer.

The detectives deduced last summer that the culprits were two women, but then stalled in their investigation. But last Sunday, the robbers got caught on tape. Shortly after the victim reported the lunchtime theft to police, the thieves then ran up $700 in charges on her credit cards at several gas stations and three stores in the Cheltenham Mall, where surveillance cameras caught their illicit purchases.

The suspects are described as black, 20 to 28 years old. The first suspect has a thin to medium build, stands 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-4 tall, and has a light complexion, short black, wavy hair with a part on the left side, multiple tattoos on both arms and a tattoo on her left upper chest. The second suspect has a heavy build, medium complexion and long black hair. She stands 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-6 tall.
