Friends remember slain mother

Heart-broken friends and family flooded the Facebook page of a young, four-months pregnant mother who was fatally beaten by two men outside of traffic court Monday afternoon and later died.

Tovoyia Owens was loved by many who poured their condolences and reminisced about good times shared with the 21-year-old woman who was gone too soon.

Tovoyia Owens was killed Monday after an altercation outside of Traffic Court.

"Rip baby girl. Still can't believe this s---," wrote Abdul Aziz. "You're my older sista, home will never be the same. Ya loudness, ya cooking and also ya funny stories. Come down and visit sis. Just let me know something. I'm stuck, loss, can't stop crying. Love you babe."

The young woman from West Philly enjoyed dancing, cooking and cheerleading according to her Facebook page. Her favorite music included Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift to name a few. She rocked with Obama because "he don't give me drama," she wrote.

Her friends called her Toya. They seemed to remember her most for her sense of humor.

"Dear Toya, they took you away from everything. Ya dreams, Ziggie, Ya family. But now you lay in paradise," wrote Zakkiyah Ali Kardashian. "All we can think of is damn why they take our Toya from us? But we all love you we will always love your baby girl."

Nearly every minute another grief-stricken friend posted on Owens' wall.

"Today is where my book begins," Toya wrote. "The rest is still unwritten."
