They say it takes two to tango. And apparently it takes two to go on a tire slashing spree in West Philadelphia.

Authorities charged a woman over the weekend for her alleged involvement in dozens of tire slashings Jan. 7.

Aleze Lewis, 36, is accused of taking part in the slashings, which occured on Hazel Avenue between 47th and 50th streets, and Chancellor Avenue near 53rd, in West Philadelphia. Authorities said at least 59 cars were vandalized.

Lewis is charged with criminal mischief and conspiracy, and is being held on $280,000 bail, according to the District Attorney's Office.

Earlier this month, authorities charged 27-year-old Harry Gaines as the main culprit in the slashings. Gaines, of Angora Terrace near 60th, was identified based on various anonymous tips after police released surveillance video of the incident. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 5.

Lewis surrendered to authorities days after the slashings, but was not officially charged until Saturday. Her next scheduled court date is Feb. 8.
