A man was killed and a woman injured during a home invasion in East Germantown this morning, according to police.
The 33-year-old victim was stabbed once in the chest in his home on Nelson Street near Locust Avenue shortly before 6:30 a.m. and taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:04 a.m, police said.
A 32-year-old woman who also lived at the house suffered lacerations to her face, but was otherwise alright and listed in stable condition at the same hospital, police said.
Authorities have no motives or suspects in the case at this time.
In other morning violence, a 29-year-old man was shot once in the groin on Dudley Street near 5th in South Philadelphia around 8:30 a.m., according to police. He was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition, police said.
