East Falls shooting leaves two men hospitalized
A hail of bullets in the courtyard of the Abbotsford Homes complex in East Falls left one man clinging to life and another hospitalized at Temple University Hospital in stable condition Friday evening.
Shots rang out on Authority Terrace near Berkeley Drive around 5:30 p.m., police said.
A 28-year-old man was shot about 15 times and a 34-year-old man was wounded four times, police said. Both victims were shot in their abdomen and legs. Police said the younger victim was critically injured.
The men were dropped off at Temple University Hospital by private vehicle. Police held the car at the hospital to try questioning the driver about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Crime scene investigators placed yellow evidence markers on a walkway adjacent to a playground neighbors said was full of children when the shots were fired.
Oldies music piped from a nearby radio and the smell of charcoal hovered over the area while police continued scouring the scene for evidence around 7:30 p.m.
PHA Housing. No news here. Just typical bl4ck boiz doing what they always do. but, HOW can a 28-year-old man who was shot about 15 times survive?
Betcha his medical bills will be covered by his top-notch medical insurance from his Employee Benefits package.
