Drive-by shooting at basketball court today injures two

Just before noon today, two men were injured - one critically - in a drive-by shooting at a basketball court in North Philadelphia, according to police.

Just before noon today, two men were injured - one critically - in a drive-by shooting at a basketball court in North Philadelphia, according to police.

Around 11:48 a.m., two unknown men in a burgundy car drove up on a basketball court at a playground at 27th and Clearfield streets and opened fire, police said.

The first victim, a 25-year-old man, was shot once in the chest and once in the left side. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he is listed in extremely critical condition, according to police.

The second victim, a 19-year-old man, was shot once in the left calf and taken was listed in stable condition at Temple.
