Several propane tanks exploded in Collingdale just after noon, sparking a three-alarm blaze, injuring several people and prompting authorities to evacuate surrounding neighborhoods and close roads.

There's a big firey drama unfolding in Delaware County right now: Several propane tanks exploded in Collingdale just after noon, sparking a three-alarm blaze, injuring several people and prompting authorities to evacuate surrounding neighborhoods and close roads.

The blast occurred at Scully Welding Supply Company on Oak Lane near MacDade Boulevard; emergency workers closed both roads. Black smoke billowing from the scene could be seen for miles.
