D.A.: 2 busted at Franklin Mills Mall in drug-trafficking investigation

Two men were busted Thursday night for allegedly trying to sell 20 pounds of high-grade marijuana to undercover cops in the parking lot of Franklin Mills Mall, the District Attorney's Office announced Friday.

Anthony DeRosa, 39, of Wilkes-Barre, and Eric Boehm, 47, of Goshen, N.Y., were nabbed around 10 p.m. trying to sell the weed from a stash in the back of a minivan, according to the D.A.'s Office. Their arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into narcotics trafficking from the Wilkes-Barre area to Philadelphia.

Thursday night, assisted by Philadelphia Police, agents from the D.A.'s Office's Dangerous Drug Offenders Unit discovered 20 vacuum-sealed plastic bags of marijuana with a street value of about $100,000 in the back of a 2002 Chrysler minivan authorities say DeRosa and Boehm drove to Franklin Mills.

Both are charged with possession with intent to deliver, criminal conspiracy and related offenses.

Bail for each man was set at $200,000, and a bail-legitimacy hearing was scheduled for Jan. 25.
