Cross dressing bank robber strikes again
A gun-toting crook hid his face behind a woman's Muslim garb when he robbed a Germantown bank earlier this week, the FBI said.
A gun-toting crook who held up a Germantown Avenue Sovereign Bank earlier this week hid his face behind female Muslim garb.
The FBI said the robber marched into the bank, on Germantown Avenue near Pelham Road, clad in a long black dress, a white jacket and hijab, which covered his face.
The thief robbed the same Sovereign Bank on Aug. 9, the FBI said. In that robbery, he wore a wig and a long dress.
In both heists, the FBI said, the robber brandished a handgun and demanded cash. He is described as a thin 30-something black man who is 5-feet-6 to 5-feet-8. Tipsters can call 215-418-4000.
