File this under "Other things I forgot to mention today:"

* A 26-year-old man was shot and killed in South Philadelphia earlier tonight. Police said the victim, whose name was not released, was wounded several times on 7th street near Mckean at about 7 p.m. He died at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital less than a half-hour later. Police had no suspects or motives.

* Murder charges have been filed against Hector Soto, 16, who was involved in a fatal fistfight in Fairhill on Friday. Police said Soto knocked Eric Dixon, 16, unconscious when the two fought on a playground at Fairhill Square Park shortly after 3:30 p.m. Dixon died less than an hour later at Temple University Hospital from head trauma caused by the fight, police said. Soto, of Huntingdon Street near 4th, was arrested at the park that day.

* A Brinks truck driver taught a swift lesson to a knuckleheaded thief who grabbed a box of change earlier today in the Bella Vista section of South Philly.
Law enforcement officials said the gun-toting crook tried to ambush the driver, who was about to make a delivery to the Conestoga Bank, at 10th and Catharine streets, shortly after 11:30 a.m.
The quick-thinking driver turned the tables on the bandit, however, when he pulled out his handgun and opened fire.
Investigators said the startled thief darted down 10th Street with his take: a box of change, some of which was left scattered on the ground.
It was unclear if the crook — described as a bearded, 5-foot-9 black man in his 20s, who wore a black and red cap, and a dark long-sleeved shirt with a patch on the left shoulder — was injured.
Investigators said he fled in a burgundy-colored SUV, believed to be a Chevrolet Suburban or GMC Denali.
Tipsters can contact the FBI at 215-418-4000.

Look, we have a State Parolee Crime Problem in "Killadelphia". Yeah there are over 49,000 Probationers...Yeah we have 1/6th the population of New York City, but 6 Times the Crime Rate...BUT, we have 9,000 State Parolees that are not being "Supervised" because the Parole Agent caseloads are DOUBLE that of other states... Twice the Maximum recommended by National Parole Association! Nobody can be supervised at those levels. Rendell is releasing 2,000 Inmates per month into our neighborHOODs and NOT screening them for drugs and NOT sending them back to prison for any Parole Violations...in many cases, even if they pick up a new criminal case! Parole Board Chairman, McVey, has repeatedly refused to surrender documentation to State Auditors to hide their crimes. Documentation is even being destroyed! The State Attorney General (Tom Corbett) was repeatedly told and has done Nothing! There are over 500 State Parole and DOC Escapees in Killadelphia, right now, as you read this! The Mayor, City Council, State Legislature...all have repeatedly betrayed their sacred trust...Murder victim after murder victim...destroyed family after destroyed family. What's worse is that the news media has also chosen to betray it's sacred duty to the public. The news media wants a "Bail Out" too. We've paid for Rendell's "No Bid" and "Inappropriate" contracts to his law firm, campaign contributors and "friends" with the blood of our crime victims and the bodies of our family members. He's turned a World Class City into the Largest Open Air Prison in America and 1st in the Nation in COP KILLINGS. We've even been called "The City of Death". Why aren't the FEDs following the money/blood trails back to Rendell? No, Eddie isn't selling kidneys, but he's been killing us for YEARS! Now his "Spin Doctor" is bailing and Eddie is working on his memoirs...and what a "Legacy" it is.... The President's Comment Line is 1-202-456-1111, U.S. Attorney = 215-861-8200. How bout making one phone call?

I agree that PA has to join the rest of the nation on probation and parole for repeat violent offenders. Urge your state legislator to support HB 1567, which removes probation and parole for repeat violent offenders in PA. Philly really is an open air prison due to too lenient, unsupervised, overused probation and parole to just decrease prison populations. PA will have to address the true number of repeat violent criminals it produces.

Ladies and Gentilmen...let's review the crime problem in Killadelphia over just the last year...K? Let's look at Gov. Rendell, the State Parole Board, The Mayor, City Council, State Attorney General and remember the following small, partial list of State Parole Offenders who made the papers.... Besides Murchison and Wilson (The PIAZZA MURDERS) and Porter, Evans (Murderers), let's add Carrisquillo (Rapist), Shaw (Frankford Rapist), don't forget Burgess (Serial Killer and Rapist); Giddings, Cain, Warner (COP KILLERS); Wilson, Norman, Magee, Lassister, Hill, Trinsey, Wise, Latham, Bryant and the 4 out of the 5 gunmen who just recently murdered "Piggy" the mother of 4 children (All are Shoot-Out Artists and again were under State Parole "Supervision"). Why were they on the street and kept on the street? Money...to save money. State Budget Monies (specifically) that were spent on "No Bid" and about 60 million on other "Inappropiate" Contracts that went to Campiagn Contributors and friends of Governor Rendell. Why are so few Parole Violators being sent back to prison for serious offenses and even kept on the street while they have new open court cases...like Carrisquillo? Why are there so few State Parole Field Agents in Killadelphia? Why are 2,000 State Inmates being released each month? MONEY. The Mayor, City Council, State Legislature, State's Attorney General were all told about 18 months ago about this SCANDAL and they have done nothing to stop it. Studies...proposed legislation...it’s all more opium for the masses. Want to help? Encourage all the victims and surviving family members to sue the State. Ask our Mayor and City Council to sue the State and get our money back! Email Mike.Levy@usdoj.gov and ask him to investigate and prosecute "The Rendell Murders", he'll know what you are talking about 215-861-8200. The President's Comment Line = 1-202-456-1111. Remember State Parolees are responsible for our Murder and Crime Rates. Take action...make some calls.
