Crescentville man arrested in Northeast Philly double murder

A 24-year-old man has been charged with killing a man and woman inside a Northeast Philadelphia home on Tuesday, police said.

Darren Williams, of Anchor Street near Langdon, is accused of shooting Sean Neal, 23, and Lauren Fenningham, 18, with a shotgun inside the home where Neal lived on Sebring Road near Shelly. Police said Neal was shot once in the abdomen and later succumbed to his injuries at Aria Health's Torresdale campus. Fenningham was struck once in the head and pronounced dead at the scene.

Williams was arrested Thursday inside his Anchor Street home without incident, authorities said. He is charged with murder and related offenses.

Police said the motive in the killings is unknown at this time. Neal's mother told the Daily News her son had battled drug problems.
