A hit-and-run driver who police say killed a pedestrian in Bensalem Township Tuesday morning has surrendered to authorities.

A hit-and-run driver who police say killed a pedestrian in Bensalem Township Tuesday morning has surrendered to authorities.

Mario Rodriguez-Morales, 40, of Knights Road near Street Road in Bensalem, is charged with involuntary manslaughter and related offenses for the accident, which occurred around 6 a.m. on Knights Road near Dunksferry.

Killed in the crash was Madanago Bakthavatchalu, 71, who lived on Knights Road near where he was struck. Medics declared him dead on the scene.
