UPDATE, July 2, 1:48 p.m.: Police announced Wednesday that Albert DiPrimeo was arrested without incident Tuesday on Venango Street near Emerald.

Police are searching for a Holmesburg man who they say is wanted for sexually assaulting a woman at gunpoint on his block yesterday.

Albert DiPrimeo, 57, of Marsden Street near Rhawn, is considered armed and dangerous, according to a wanted flyer circulated by police on Tuesday.

Police say the tattooed man with long, stringy black hair and a goatee is wanted for attacking a woman and sexually assaulting her at gunpoint on the block where he lives. He drives a gray 2001 Honda Accord with a Pennsylvania tag of JNH-4642, according to investigators. He's described as white, 5 feet 8, 230 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has numerous tattoos, including one of a spider and web on his neck, another of barbed wire dripping with blood on his right bicep and a third that appears to be a bird or dragon on his chest.

Court records indicate that DiPrimeo has been arrested numerous times over the last two decades. At the time of this alleged sexual assault, he was on probation for a 2013 conviction on charges including false imprisonment, simple assault, reckless endangerment and terroristic threats. He was previously arrested for rape and related offenses in 2008, but the charges were withdrawn, records show.

Anyone with information in DiPrimeo's whereabouts is asked to contact Special Victims at 215-685-3253 or call 9-1-1.
