A man who robbed a pharmacy in Juniata Park Tuesday morning was recorded on a surveillance camera, and police posted the footage online in hopes that help from the public leads to an arrest.
Around 8:05 p.m., the man walked into the Pharmacy of America on Erie Avenue near Castor, pulled a large knife on the clerk and demanded him to open the register, police said.
The suspect took $80 in cash and ran from the store. He was last seen running south on O Street toward Kensington Avenue, police said.
The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black man, who is between 45 and 55 years old. He is clean shaven, about six feet tall, and weighs about 300 pounds. He was wearing a navy blue, hooded sweat suit.
Tipsters are asked to call the tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477), or the Philadelphia Police East Detective Division at 215-686-3243.
