Cops searching for suspect in Starbucks robbery

A man who walked into a Center City Starbucks last week asked a barista for a pen and paper, and then slid a note back across the counter demanding all the cash from the register, police said.

The robbery happened around 5:40 a.m. on Jan. 26 at the Starbucks on Broad Street near Pine, police said. A surveillance camera inside the store recorded the incident.

The suspect is described as a black man who is between 35 and 40 years old. He was wearing a black knit hat, a dark blue jacket and blue jeans.

Police said the man weighs about 180 pounds and is between 5 feet 9 and 5 feet 11 inches tall.

The man was last seen running east on Pine Street.
