A teenage girl was pulled into a van and sexually assaulted in her Juniata Park neighborhood Wednesday afternoon, police said Thursday, and cops are searching for the man who attacked her.

Police said the 15-yaer-old victim told investigators she was walking home from a store on Bristol Street near M in Juniata Park around 2 p.m. Wednesday when a man grabbed her from behind and pulled her into a van. He drove her somewhere, cops said, and then sexually assaulted her inside the van.

The teen's attacker is described as a white or Hispanic man in his 20s with a light complexion, a mustache and a medium build. He was driving a white van.

About 15 minutes after that attack, in a separate incident in Southwest Philadelphia, police say a 46-year-old woman spotted a man she did not know in her enclosed porch on Paschall Avenue near 69th Street. When she confronted him, cops said, she realized he was exposing himself and masturbating. After making an unsuccessful attempt to get into her house, police said, the man fled on foot on 69th Street toward Woodland Avenue.

The alleged pervert in that attack is described as a black man, age 20 to 25, 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 6 with a medium build and a dark complexion. He wore a white T-shirt and had a lanyard with a key around his neck.

Tipsters are asked to contact police at 215-686-TIPS (8477), text a tip to PPD TIP (773847) or call the Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3251.
